 | | Purchase of Service/Itinerant Services | | Intermediate District 917 provides multiple primary, related and support special education services to its member districts in Dakota County on a purchase-of-service basis whereby District 917 staff serve approximately 700 learners in their local districts in homes, daycare, early childhood and K-12 school settings. These services have been provided to District 917 member districts since 1970 as a means of providing low-incidence special education services in a collaborative, cost-efficient manner allowing districts to provide and respond to fluctuating and changing needs in any given year
