Work Seminar

            Students in work seminar will explore the world of work as they search for a career goal. Guest speakers, field trips and hands on activities are part of this class.

Topics include:

• Careers Clusters related to career interests.

• Interests and personality traits related to careers.

• Job seeking process

• Labor laws and work expectations needed for the job.

• Understanding the paycheck and work finances

• Communication on the job

   

   

  Work Experience

              Students who are taking Work Seminar or have completed the seminar may earn up earn while on the job. To earn credit students must:

• Complete Work Experience application

• Verify work hours

• Complete a weekly work journal
